We Do Like to be By the Seaside.
Having played (and enjoyed) playing bowls at Ramsgate BC a week or so earlier we had our annual trip to Herne Bay Bowls Club on Monday 29 July. Whilst a few members made their own way to Herne Bay, 30 of us took the opportunity to travel to Herne by coach and enjoying talking to other members en route. On arrival around 1130 hrs we all went for a bite to eat whether at one of the many fish n chips restaurants, many however decide that a visit to The Saxon Shore ( JD Wetherspoon) was a good idea; and it was!
We then made our way to Herne Bay Bowls Club then played seven rinks with 28 of our members enjoying some fine bowling and some quite close games. Overall Herne Bay just won (127-111).
