Ladies at Horton Kirby 13 July. The match started with the sun hidden behind clouds and much chillier than of late. With one lady from Horton Kirby unable to play at short notice, the Men’s Captain Alex Zengerink played in her place.
The match was very entertaining to watch, the sun soon appeared to enhanced the atmosphere. Both sides played well with some very good bowling. After nine ends the hosts were winning 11-6 and 8-4.
The remaining nine ends produced some fine bowling as all payers sought that finer optimum delivery. The final scores in Horton Kirby’s favour were 18-15 and 14-12; a very entertaining match to watch.
After the match Alex told WebSite News that he always enjoys playing against Joan (Ward) as she is a fine bowler and the bowlers from B&B are always friendly and good company.
