On Wednesday 5 June 2024 our ladies played at home against Petts Wood Ladies who are often a strong team. The match on 5 June was no different. After 5 ends of the 18 to be played our Ladies were losing 3-7 and 1-5. Slowly but surely one of our two teams took the lead. It was a cat and mouse game, our ladies winning 16-13. Our other team trying their best just could not get their noses in front, at the end of the 11th end there was just one shot in it (9-10) they lost 11-19. It was quite a nail biting and exciting match to watch.
