Our Open Day held on 6 May was a wash-out as it typically rained on a Bank Holiday, despite the atrocious weather a few potential members arrived and spent some on the green with our two qualified coaches.
Another Open Day was held on Sunday 19 May and this time the sun shone, consequently we were busy with more than a dozen interested people spending time on the green. They all learnt a little about lawn bowls experiencing the challenge and pleasure we get from bowling. We received much interest and a number have already signed as Members and others intend to return soon to have another opportunity on the green. Many of our Members were in attendance to help our coaches and to talk with our visitors.
