Our Ladies played in a triples away match against Sidcup Ladies on Wednesday 1 May in what was expected to be a challenging game.
After a few ends Sidcup were winning on both rinks with our ladies often losing each end by just one or two. As the match progressed one of our two teams got their noses in front and then won three or four ends on the trot sometimes by a good margin . Our other team, was in a tight match and as the game went on they got just in front. It was quite a close match until about the 15th end when our Ladies took control and won the match by a good margin. As is often the case there was some luck, good and bad, which is part of the game. Well done Ladies and very good win.
On Thursday 2 May we played a mixed game against Pleasaunce – triples on five rinks. Matches with Pleasaunce are always enjoyable and often very close in the scoring; this match was no different. Two rinks were won by Pleasaunce with Bexleyheath and Barnehurst winning overall by a tight margin, 80-72.
