One of our qualified coaches will be on hand to guide you and help you get started. Bowls is a great way to stay active, improve flexibility, and meet new people—many of our current members started out just like you, some as recently as last year. Why not come and see what you think?
Whatever your age, it’s never too early—or too late—to discover if bowls is for you. We’re keen to dispel the myth that bowls is just an ‘old man’s game’. In fact, clubs across the UK are welcoming players in their 40s, 30s, and even 20s. Local associations, such as the Kent County Bowls Association, also run dedicated competitions for players under 21.
With the right support, many new members find themselves taking part in club games or friendly matches within just a couple of months. There’s no pressure—just encouragement, guidance, and friendly advice at a pace that suits you.

The Management Committee believes these fees remain very competitive compared with other local bowls clubs.
There is also a one-off £10 charge for liability insurance, which applies for the entire period of your membership.
Bexleyheath & Barnehurst Bowls Club offers excellent value for money. Our members enjoy playing on a well-maintained green and take part in a variety of social events throughout the year, including performances by professional entertainers.
